Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Does applying for a ticket mean I will get one ?
Whilst Oakleaf Camp cannot guarantee a ticket upon first application based on unknown numbers, in practice we have always been able to welcome and accommodate a good proportion of New Campers.
Q. Does being on the mailing list guarantee that if I apply for a ticket, I will get one ?
More details are held on the mailing list than there are ticket places available. This is to ensure all tickets are sold and there is enough money to cover site costs and insurances for the weekend, as Oakleaf Camp is a not-for-profit camp.
Tickets are allocated on a first reply-received basis and are limited to a maximum of 400. To ensure a guaranteed ticket you must have completed and returned your ticket form and payments have cleared for your ticket details to be allocated as quickly as possible.
New Campers who respond but are unlucky enough not to be one of the 400 first received will be held on the mailing list in case returned or unpaid for tickets become available.
Q. If I send in payment and application form and there are no tickets left, will I get a refund ?
Payments received after tickets are no longer available will of course be refunded.
Q. If I pay for a ticket and at a later date I cannot attend the camp, can I can obtain a refund ?
Ticket orders are not normally refundable in full or in part unless for exceptional circumstance.
Like all seasonal holidays, dates for Oakleaf Camp have to be carefully planned and booked in advance; however, we appreciate that life is not always perfect and any ticket holder who is unfortunate not to be able to enjoy Oakleaf Camp due to life circumstances should contact Oakleaf Camp at the earliest opportunity to discuss how we can help.
Q. If I cannot attend a camp, can I give my ticket to a mate ?
No, tickets are non-transferrable. This is to ensure your safety and peace of mind, that the attendees at Oakleaf Camp are either Previous Campers, guests of existing campers or New Campers supported by a referee.
Dagda Site Stewards have been instructed to refuse entry to anyone whose ticket does not match previously submitted application details. Anyone found to have "dishonestly" obtained a ticket will be refused entry and/or asked to leave the site.
Q. How do you ensure only genuine Campers are on site ?
Oakleaf Camp is a closed ticketed event and the site will not be open to the general public.
All Campers have to apply through the application process (see above) this includes guests of paid campers - if they don't have a ticket then the Dagda Site Stewards cannot issue a security wrist band and will not be able to let them on site.
No visitors will be allowed access to either the Campers or Trader areas unless they have previously purchased a ticket and have a suitably coloured wrist-band.
Wrist band colours are changed from year to year and are for your security and peace of mind.
Q. If I only attend for one day, can I get a discount ?
Unfortunately, Oakleaf Camp is unable to offer discounted day passes.
